I have been dabbling in one art form or another since my preschool days, when I was exposed to still life drawing with pastels. Making art has been my constant companion throughout this journey. Along the way, I’ve done ceramic sculpture, painted in oils, had a silversmithing/jewelry-making business, and most recently, focused on acrylic painting and collage. Aside from miscellaneous classes and a stint at New York’s Art Student’s League, I am mostly self-taught. I love to follow my bliss with found and recycled materials and varied subject matter. I delight in juxtaposing small objects and photographs with acrylics. I also enjoy creating poetry collages, which incorporate my original writing.
I exhibited for over five years in the Coastal Arts League group shows in Half Moon Bay, California. I had two solo shows at Half Moon Bay’s La Di Da Café, in 2010 and 2011. I have participated in the last two Petaluma Art Center members’ shows and the 2014 Library Show. I exhibited sixteen pieces at the Redwood Cafe from January to March of 2014. I am currently exhibiting three paintings in the Petaluma Valley Hospital Art Around Town show.
My subjects vary from animals to the human figure to abstract pieces. A love of strong color and themes of sensuality and heart run through my work. I hope you enjoy what you see.
